Silo with Love theme

I make Silos with high grog deep red clay.  Each individual brick’s mortar lines are etched out by hand. Then I knock out bricks and the entire piece is distressed in various ways.  Then I fill the mortar lines with a custom tinted white underglaze.  This handwork ensures that each silo is completely unique in construction, not just in decoration. I use airbrush and sponge techniques to age the silos with soot and grime colored underglazes.  I paint all the graffiti freehand with airbrushes, sponges, brushes and handmade stencils.  I create all designs uniquely.  Interiors are generally deep burgundies and maroons, although you can choose from a variety of colors should you choose a bespoke piece.

The Silos have an interior diameter of approximately 4” and will easily serve as a wine bottle chiller—just don’t freeze it!  Or, they serve quite nicely as a stand-alone art piece.
