Wall Installations

My “FREE” wall installations take that celebratory moment of breaking FREE from what has held you back and goes big. Clusters and rows of “wood” (remember—these are all ceramic!) crates splay across an old abandoned warehouse. Initially, feelings of loneliness, neglect and hopelessness come up—that moment where being “one in a million” works against you.  Look closer and see—one of the crates has blown out!  Hope and exhilaration abounds as the soul, no longer trapped, flies free.

The “FREE” wall installations are bespoke.  Size, scale, layout, and number of crates will be designed to best suit the installation site.  Crates will be appropriately constructed for indoor or outdoor installation.  The “warehouse floor” background can be constructed from wood and concrete or painted/applied directly to the wall, or omitted altogether, to best suit hanging, site requirements and the desires of the collector.

For community engagement a QR code can be placed near the installation.  The QR code will direct observers to a website where they can share stories of where they were stuck and how they broke free.

Images shown here are from existing and/or proposed installations, Marquettes & conceptual drawings, and “ready to hang” works.  Clicking the “MORE INFO” link on each image will take you to additional images and details about each image.  Occasionally indoor installations come available as “ready to hang”.  Be sure to subscribe to my newsletter to stay apprised of new work!
